I haven’t read any of Marissa Meyer books so I am not familiar with her writing style and I have to say I’d happily add her to my list of authors after having read Heartless.
So being a fan of retellings and Alice in Wonderland, it was a wonderful surprise to be receiving it in and owlcrate box.
Before Catherine was Queen of Hearts, she was just a girl who wanted to fall in love and open up her own bakery. We cannot always get what we wish for.
It was heartbreaking to read though all the events that made her stronger and have reality hit her in the face.
An epic read that I would totally recommend. Flawless creative writing and it was hard not to get attached to all those amazing characters and not fall in love with Catherine herself.
