Book Review : One of Us is Lying

Book Title : One of Us is Lying
Book Author : Karen M. McManus
My Rating : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Publication Date : June 1st 2017

One of us is lying makes detention the place to be stuck in for sure. I really had no idea what to expect from it but I do know that if the book makes me want to rush home and pick it up, then it totally deserves a four or five stars for me.

Even though it’s kind of a retelling of “The Breakfast Club” – which I haven’t seen, you will definitely get sucked in on all the drama and mystery that unfolds after five strangers get stuck in together for detention. Only four of them makes it out alive, which makes the rest primary suspects.

I totally loved the concept of it. It had a Gossip Girl feel to it mixed with Pretty Little Liars and a bunch of other shows that I am fond of. So if you are fan as well, you are for sure going to love this one.

I had so much fun trying to guess what went on and “who dunnit”!  I was busy contemplating, analyzing and throwing back theories back and forth all the way through the book. I was actually almost right but it was also a bit difficult as it none of the characters was to be trusted because they were all full of secretes and had a reason to get rid of the deceased.

I would totally recommend the book if you are a mystery fan and in need of something light to read.
